GCSE Science; Introduction or Revision sessions

These sessions are aimed at school groups and can be applied as a light brush over a number of topic areas or focussed on fewer sessions in more depth, depending on the aims of the Teachers involved. Please ask for more details or to create a suitable package.

Challenge

Whether it be in preparation for exams, or to introduce a new topic or approach to science, this session is intended so that you can customise the areas focussed upon. When designing a program of study consider:
  • How much time you have available to allocate to the session.
  • The types of investigation that would interest
  • The age group, or Key Stage, of the students.
  • The depth required on each topic.

Value

You can target the session to meet your learning objectives
  • The session can be adjusted to meet the syllabus requirements of GCSE, KS3, 13+, KS2 and 11+

Recommended sessions include:
Combining Water, Fire and Forces; this considers a range of water supplies, clarification of water by filtration before lighting a fire and sterilising the water by boiling. The pot will be supported over the fire by a pot hanger that you designed and built yourself.
