How we work

Using the ideas and techniques of good quality bushcraft:
  • Scientific principles are revealed and reinforced, at the same time as the skills themselves are acquired and polished.
  • Scientific questions asked in many parts of the GCSE, KS3 and 13+ syllabi are applied to an outdoor situation, in most cases this is at our woodlands.
  • Training packages cover as wide a range of syllabus outcomes as is practical within the session.
  • Multiple sessions can be combined to build a full day.
  • Potential to customise these depending on the demands of the leading teacher.
  • Sessions can be adapted to meet the needs of the main exam boards but have been designed around the syllabi from AQA, Edexel and OCR and may be combined to meet a number of learning outcomes over a full day.
  • Packages can be adapted for the needs of Home School organisations and specialist schools.
  • Packages can be adapted with content appropriate for younger students in line with the demands of Key Stage 2 or 11+ syllabi.
  • Staff have Enhanced DBS checks and are First Aid trained

Rupert, himself a dyslexic, is used to differentiating his teaching and is also able to adapt sessions for younger and specialist needs groups.
