Host Sites

Feral Science can be delivered anywhere: a corner of a playground, ‘forest school’ designated areas, local woodlands, even just a back garden. Though, there are additional benefits of delivery within a woodland setting.

Spring Wood

Location: Melbourne, Derbyshire, DE73 8BJ (on the eastern side of Staunton Harold Reservoir)

This woodland is leased and managed by Woodland Survival Crafts. It is a mature mixed woodland with Birch and Oak and is used as an established site for one of the foremost Bushcraft Trainers in the country. The site includes numerous classroom sized shelters, composting toilets and an iron-age style roundhouse.

Grangewood

Location: Grangewood, Neatherseal, Swadlincote, Derbyshire, DE12 8BG

This site is one of the pioneering plantation woodlands of the National Forest scheme with a huge variety of semi-mature tree species on more than 100 acres. The site is owned and managed alongside an equestrian business.

Client Grounds

Feral Science has hosted tutoring sessions on school grounds when working directly with schools.

Home-school groups are often hosted by a client-provided outdoor setting, e.g., a back garden.
